How to install obb data on android?

Games or applications do not always work with just the .apk file, in some cases we need other files to complement the installation of the game. (These are called obb data )
If you don't know how to install it correctly, don't worry because we'll explain it to you here.
🗒️ Before we start...
Since the Android 11+ update , they have imposed some restrictions on file management.
Google has restricted viewing, accessing and modifying Data and Obb folders, meaning you cannot copy and paste the game's OBB data from the native file manager.
For this reason, you will need ZArchiver , available on Google Play Store, EspacioAPK or AppGallery to manage and install OBB data on Android 11, 12, 13 and 14, as well as on the different versions of Android.
✅ Step 1: Remove updates
Before you start installing the game, it is important to make a setting on your device.
You need to remove updates to the Google Files app.
To do this, go to Settings > Apps (or a similar menu) and look for the “Files” app . Once you find the app, select the option to uninstall updates. This is very important to avoid conflicts with the ZArchiver app, and for now it is the only solution.
Information provided by Zdevs.
Quick summary: Uninstall updates to the Files app from Settings > Apps to prevent conflicts.
✅ Step 2: Extract the files
Open ZArchiver , if you don't have it, install it first.
Make sure to give it all the storage permissions it asks for . Then, navigate to the folder where you saved the game, which is usually the "Download" folder .
When you find the game "example.zip" , long press on it and choose the extract option to unzip the files.
Quick Summary: Head to your downloads folder, select the game file and choose extract.
✅ Step 3: Move files and install
After extracting, you will find an APK file and a folder with OBB data, for example, "com.example.example" . First, select the OBB folder and move it to the root path of your device.
Then, in the internal storage, go to the "Android" folder and then to "obb" . If you don't see an "obb" folder, create one. When moving OBB data, your device will ask for storage permissions; accept them so that the folder is pasted correctly.
➡️ Finally , find the APK file you extracted and proceed with its installation as you normally would.
All set to enjoy! 😄👍
Quick Summary: Once the extraction is complete, move the OBB folder to “Android/obb” on your device. Finally, install the extracted APK to start playing.
